My wife and I had received 3 quotes to have our kitchen and living room remodeled. The costs skewed dramatically and one contractor stated that what we wanted to accomplish was not possible. The challenge was to take down a supporting wall between the kitchen and the living room.
After speaking with Rick, he explained that by having a design with specifics your contractor quotes will at least be comparing apples to apples and allow us to make a more informed choice on a contractor. With Rick's help we ended up with a terrific contractor that came in lower than some of the other contractors but we were comfortable that our job scope was going to be met.
Throughout the process Rick made me feel comfortable that the job was being done right and that all of our expectations were being met.
As I told Rick when I first met him "I didn't feel I needed an architect because all I wanted to do was knock down a wall" but after this experience my wife and I ended up with more than we ever expected from our project and spent a decent amount less than our first round of contractors had quoted us. I would recommend a.point.design to anyone in a situation where they may think they know what they want but need the expertise to make sure and help you design what you need.

“After 50 years of making and selling chocolates in our one candy shop in Boston (Phillips Candy House) we had an opportunity to set up at a satellite shop at South Shore Plaza in Braintree, Massachusetts.
